“This cozy space, tucked away in horse country, is the perfect destination for either a quiet getaway or the hub of an active family vacation. We woke to gorgeous views of the idyllic property from every window and relaxed with coffee on the deck while the sun rose. We took walks down the country lanes, went riding at a local stable, had snacks and family movie night around the big screen TV and formed a meaningful bond with the chickens. When adventure was called for, it was an easy drive to shop premium outlets, tour historic sites like Colonial Williamsburg and Yorktown or experience the small-town charm of Smithfield. Our hosts’ recommendations of locally owned restaurants and small businesses unlocked fantastic local flavor that we would have missed on our own. And, at the end of the day, it’s hard to beat a luxurious bath with a book and a beverage.
The fully equipped kitchen and laundry offered amazing convenience, and we had plenty of room to be together without getting in each other’s way. Add to that the immaculate cleanliness and thoughtful creature comforts, and everyone in our family was hooked. We’re already planning a return trip.”
